May Nemat Allah

    May Nemat Allah (she/her) is an Egyptian immigrant and settler living in Tkaronto, Turtle Island (colonially known as Toronto, Ontario). She is a stage, production, and festival manager who is endlessly captivated with theatre's ability to both entertain and provoke thought, hope, and action in audiences. Guided by a practice of care, May aspires to support the production of pieces that utilize theatre’s infinite capacity to promote revolutionary change within ourselves and our communities.

    Throughout her time at the National Theatre School, May has collaborated with directors including Ruth Madoc-Jones, Maiko Yamamoto, and Conor Wylie, and was coached by Theresa Tsang, Maria Popoff, and Andrea Lundy.

    May holds a Bachelor’s in Theatre and Business from the University of Waterloo, where she trained with Janelle Rainville, Matt White, and Naila Keleta-Mae. Over the past two years, May has worked as an Apprentice Stage Manager at the Stratford Festival, collaborating with directors Yvette Nolan and Tawiah M’Carthy and Stage Managers Alice Ferreyra Galliani and Maxwell T. Wilson.
