Art Apart: Double the Fun Double Bill
About the project
Double the Fun Double Bill is a dramatic reading of Asian theatre artists Angela Sun and Vivian Or's darkly comedic works on connection, identity, and distance.
In Or's short play please don't tell my Dad, two friends are forced to wrestle with the revelation of a devastating personal secret over video chat when Prime Minister Trudeau the Third moistly announces the arrival of a new pandemic.
Sun's Arrivals//Departures is a storytelling anthology of prose and poetry that explores diasporic experiences of travel and the weight of having roots that stretch across oceans.
This project received financial support from the National Theatre School of Canada via the Art Apart program, an emergency fund for emerging artists who are affected by physical distancing due to coronavirus (COVID-19).
