When they begin their time at NTS the student directors buckle in for an action-packed two-year ride.

Over an unfolding series of classes, workshops and productions, the two students refine their personal artistic process and relationship to leadership, collaboration, and dramaturgy. The directors also got a crash course in QR codes I’m sure they will never forget.

I have observed these two students unfailingly care for and support one another as they navigated the rigorous demands of this program.  I also observed the potential for an awkward but endearing stand-up comedy double act.

It is an honour to watch them graduate today.
