Jeanne is an arts leader and consultant with a 30+ year career starting as a theatre stage manager, working for 10 years at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in Theatre Operations and Human Resources; 6 years in international arts projects including the Arts Management Fellowship at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Managing Producer of the Abu Dhabi Film Festival, and Deputy Interim CEO of the Royal Opera House Muscat in Oman (for the Kennedy Center). Jeanne is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), holds an MBA in Management Consulting, and owns and operates LeSage Arts Management in Toronto, Canada. In its six years of operations, LeSage Arts has worked with 80+ clients and projects nationally and internationally, with a focus on Human Resources, Board Development, Organizational Effectiveness, Strategy, Facilitation, and Interim Leadership. Jeanne is a sought-after speaker and trainer, having delivered sessions with organizations and post-secondary programs including the DeVos Institute Arts Management Fellows, the National Theatre School of Canada, York University’s Schulich School of Business, Toronto Metropolitan University’s Creative Industries Program, Humber College Arts Administration program, and at arts conferences nationally. Jeanne is also the author of research reports such as Performing Arts Leadership in Canada (2018), Reporting and Investigation Mechanisms for Workplace Harassment in the Arts (2019); Board Governance in the Arts: Emerging Ideas (2021), and the co-founder of the COVID response initiative LEAN (Leadership Emergency Arts Network) Canada (2020).
