The Private Fundraising Manager will operate under the direction of External Relations and will be responsible primarily for meeting private fundraising objectives. The Private Fundraising Manager will research and write presentations for private sponsorships and donations and develop strategies to ensure high exposure for the School.
This person will also be expected to work in close collaboration with the person who's responsible for public funding in order to create a synergy in grant applications and an information retention capacity that will foster high quality applications.

Main Duties

  • Write sponsorship/private donation presentations including exposure/recognition plans; 
  • Draft sponsorship/private donation contractual agreements, invoices and follow up in a timely manner to ensure that benefits and/or recognition as outlined in the agreements are fulfilled; 
  • Updates measurement tools, internal reports and follow up with finance (billing);
  • Prepare thank you notes, progress reports and/or accountability for each partner; 
  • Participate in identifying new sources of private funding for projects and programs offered by the School; 
  • Follow up on correspondence with the various partners and foster good relations with them; 
  • Take an active part in updating the visibility and recognition plans; 
  • Contribute to the School's overall private financing strategy with the RE team and the various internal stakeholders;
  • Participate in the exploration of new private funding opportunities for the School; 
  • Work closely with the person in charge of public funding. 

Job Description

Profile
  • Proven experience in a similar position with evidence of success; 
  • Bilingual, both spoken and written;  
  • Basic knowledge of the philanthropic field 
  • Excellent writing skills in French and English (clear, concise and compelling style);  
  • Strong organizational skills and sense of priorities (ability to develop and meet tight deadlines);  
  • Resourcefulness, curiosity, quick learning; 
  • Creativity, autonomy and a strong interest in the cultural sector;  
  • Ability to create visual documents.
