Alain Goulem - teaching artist in the Acting Program

Alain is a bilingual actor/director who works extensively in voice, TV, film and theatre. His directing credits include: The Complete Works of Wllm SHkspr (abridged) and Shakespeare’s Lost Play for Repercussion Theatre. The Anger in Ernest and Ernestine at Hudson Village Theatre, Fire for Theatre Lac Brome, Peacemaker and Head à Tête for Geordie Productions. Among the many collective creations he has helped develop and direct are the Just for Laughs and Fringe hit MöcShplat (a clown-gibberish adaptation of Macbeth) and the critically lauded Ümlout (a clown-gibberish adaptation of Hamlet). Alain has also directed many first productions of Canadian plays, notably Colleen Wagner’s Down from Heaven (Imago Theatre), Ned Cox’s Hellavator, Alexandria Haber’s Housekeeping and Homewrecking and On This Day (Centaur Theatre) and Mouth To Mouth (White Bear London UK)

TV credits include regular roles in: CBC comedies 18 to Life ,The Tournament the Crackle TV original series, The Art of More and Bad Blood. Recurring roles on, Ghostwriter (AppleTV), Killjoys (Space) Guest appearances on TV include episodes of , Transplant, Frontier, Saving Hope and Being Human. Filmappearances include: The Unites States vs Billie Holliday, Dreamland, La Chute De L’Empire Americain, Brooklyn and Snake Eyes.. He has performed on stage with Manitoba Theatre for Young People (Winnipeg), The Citadel (Edmonton), Manitoba Theatre Centre (Winnipeg), The Traverse (Edinburgh, Scotland), Tron Theatre (Glasgow, Scotland) The Banff Centre, The Stratford Festival and Centaur Theatre, among others.
