We are looking to recruit a summer student who is passionate about marketing and communications, both traditional and digital, and who is eager to learn while also contributing to the mission of a major arts organization.

Through an 8-week position at NTS, the chosen student will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while also becoming familiar with many facets of marketing and communications.

Job description

Under the supervision of the director of communications and marketing, the chosen candidate will be assigned a wide variety of tasks under three main categories:

  1. Data: managing our various mailing lists, for newsletters and for recruitment for our different programs (students, youth programs, general public, NTS theatre festival, media, and influencers).

  2. Content: produce content for our social media feeds (writing, editing, photos, videos). The chosen candidate will find and create relevant content for our various platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube), connect with schools and media outlets, while also contacting influencers.

  3. Festival: Contribute to the communications/marketing for the NTS Theatre Festival.

 

 

You have…

  • University studies related to marketing and/or communications
  • A strong interest in new trends in the field;
  • Leadership and creativity;
  • Exceptional aptitude for collaboration and teamwork;
  • An open spirit and global vision at all times;
  • Excellent relationship and organization skills, and the ability to meet deadlines;
  • Strong command of French and English, both written and oral;
  • A proven interest in the cultural sector.

Eligibility

  • Between 17 and 30 years old (inclusive) at the beginning of employment;
  • Be registered as a full-time student during the previous year;
  • Expect to return to school full-time in the following year;
  • Be completing a secondary, post-secondary, CEGEP (Quebec only), professional, or technical educational program;
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee, and be authorized to work in the province or territory of the employer;
  • Be legally allowed to work, according to the laws and regulations of the province/territory.
