NTS students win Theatre Schools Improvisation Tournament
Congratulations to our students in the Interprétation program, who won the theatre schools improv tournament, organized by the École de théâtre du Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe!
Held on September 26, 2026, the tournament brought together Quebec’s leading professional theatre schools: the École de théâtre du Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe, the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montréal, the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Québec, the École de théâtre professionnelle du Collège Lionel-Groulx, and the National Theatre School of Canada.
The NTS team was made up of Raphaël Racine, Marie-Pierre Théberge, Benjamin Croteau, Camille Foley, and Béatrice Verronneau, second- and third-year students in the Interprétation program.
Throughout the tournament, our students faced the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montréal in their first match, followed by the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Québec. Their journey then took them to the final against the École de théâtre professionnelle du Collège Lionel-Groulx, where the NTS team claimed the victory!
The event was refereed by Yvan Ponton and François-Étienne Paré.
It was a wonderful opportunity for students from different schools to come together, share the stage, and celebrate performance and improvisation.
Congratulations to Raphaël, Marie-Pierre, Benjamin, Camille, and Béatrice on this fantastic victory!
