Public Classes

Spring session registrations are now closed.

Stay tuned: Fall 2026 session registrations are coming soon!

Welcome to the Public Classes at the National Theatre School of Canada!

NTS Public Classes offer everyone the opportunity to explore theatre as an art form and as a catalyst for personal and social transformation. Inspired by the excellence of the professional training programs, these classes teach the fundamentals of acting, playwriting, voice, and more — all within an inclusive environment accessible to every age and level of experience.

Led by impressive local artists, the classes nurture creativity and culminate in an open class presented in front of an audience. This new series also marks the beginning of an exciting collaboration between NTS and Geordie Theatre, joining forces to help more people discover the magic of theatre — and have fun doing it!
