Andrew Scriver

A multidisciplinary artist, designer, and technical manager, and one of the creators of potatoCakes_digital, a design and digital dramaturgy company based in Montreal, Andrew has been working in the live performing and digital arts since 2013 with a history of involvement dating back to his early years.

He has been a freelance technical director and production manager for his entire professional career, and has held full-time positions as Production Manager and Technical Director with 4th Line Theatre, Infinitheatre, and The Segal Centre. With potatoCakes_digital Andrew and his partner Emily have been designing, creating, teaching, integrating, and overseeing projects across the country, including the Digital Dramaturgy Initiative–a national partnership between Playwrights’ Workshop Montreal, Playwrights Theatre Centre in Vancouver, and the Manitoba Association of Playwrights)–and LiVE, a year-long series of virtual experiments with an international cohort of creators.

Their design work has been seen across Canada and in Norway. Since 2020 they have been resident digital dramaturgs and the technical support team for Playwrights’ Workshop Montreal.
