Class Description

Step into the world of musical theatre in this 10-week course designed for true beginners and early-stage performers. This class breaks down the essentials of the art form while building confidence through singing, movement, and acting. Along the way, we look at where musical theatre comes from, how it has evolved, and how performers bring story to life on stage.

Through practical, supportive exercises, students explore how music, lyrics, and movement work together to create character and tell a story.

What students will do:

  • Explore foundational vocal technique and find healthy ways to use their voice
  • Build basic movement and dance skills for the stage
  • Learn how to read and analyze simple text and songs for character
  • Understand how choreography and music support storytelling
  • Perform short scenes and song excerpts in a supportive environment

This class is welcoming, energetic, and designed to meet students where they are. It is a space to experiment, learn, and build confidence while developing a love for musical theatre.
