Anne-Marie Ethier, QC, Partner Audit and Assurance  | Board Member Deloitte Canada and Chile

A long-time member of the Board, Anne-Marie Ethier, FCPA, assumes the role of co-chair after serving as treasurer since 2021. As an audit partner and board member at Deloitte Canada and Chile, she brings over 30 years of experience in public accounting, advising non-profit organizations, public sector institutions, and private companies. Since 2020, Anne-Marie has been an ambassador for Deloitte’s Reconciliation Action Plan and a member of the firm’s Indigenous Market Leadership Committee. A proud member of the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation, she has contributed her expertise to numerous corporate and charitable boards and executive committees. Her deep knowledge of NTS and her financial rigour will be invaluable as the School enters this next chapter.

Mike James Ross

Based in Montreal, Mike James Ross is a consultant at Egon Zehnder, specializing in organizational and personal transformation. His multi-sector career—spanning retail, financial services, artificial intelligence, private equity, and public institutions—gives him a nuanced understanding of creative organizations and the performing arts. A former consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he focused on global organizational transformation, leadership development, and innovation, Mike later served as chief human resources officer at La Maison Simons, leading a multi-year transformation. A lifelong theatre enthusiast, Mike has performed in several musicals, plays, and short films—an experience that deepens his appreciation for collaboration and creative process. His expertise in leadership and organizational transformation will strengthen NTS’s strategic vision and long-term sustainability.

Maxime Gagné, QC, Attorney and Registered Trademark Agent, Founder and Managing Partner, ESPRIT Droit & Agence de PI

Maxime Gagné is the founder of ESPRIT Law & IP Agency, a leading firm in the fields of intellectual property, entertainment, technology, marketing/advertising and litigation specializing in these sectors of activity.

Heather Redfern, BC, Directrice générale du Vancouver East Cultural Centre (« The Cultch »)

Heather Redfern est titulaire d’un certificat de l’École nationale de théâtre en scénographie. Elle est directrice générale du Vancouver East Cultural Centre (« The Cultch »), où elle s’occupe de l’organisation d’un programme de présentations en direct et en format numérique ainsi que d’un vaste programme d’engagement communautaire. Heather a mis sa carrière au service d’artistes et de publics diversifiés. Elle s’intéresse tout particulièrement à la création de nouvelles formes d’art et à la mise sur pied d’équipes créatives qui n’hésitent pas à sortir de leur zone de confort. Celle qui travaille à l’échelle locale, nationale et internationale croit au pouvoir transformateur des arts. Heather Redfern a reçu de nombreuses reconnaissances pour son œuvre, dont le prix Business and the Arts de la ville d’Edmonton pour l’excellence dans la gestion des arts, et le prix Mallory Gilbert pour son leadership durable, inspiré et créatif dans le domaine du théâtre canadien. En juin 2019, dans le cadre des prix Jessie, Heather Redfern et The Cultch ont reçu le Prix de représentation et d’inclusion Vancouver Now.

Line Beauchamp, QC, Strategic Advisor

Line Beauchamp is a strategic consultant. She has led a political career at the Quebec National Assembly. She was Minister of Culture and Communications (2003-2007), Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment and Parks (2007-2010) and Minister of Education (2010-2012). She has also served as a diplomat, being appointed Québec’s representative to the Permanent Delegation of Canada to UNESCO (2014-2016) and then Québec’s Delegate General to France (2016-2019).


Dominic Cormier, QC, Senior Director Government Affairs for Canada, Alcoa

Dominic Cormier is a seasoned professional with over 14 years of experience in federal and provincial governments, holding strategic roles across three administrations. He has served as Chief of Staff at Environment and Climate Change Canada, Senior Policy Advisor in the Prime Minister’s Office, and Deputy Chief of Staff in Quebec’s Ministry of Finance. Dominic is renowned for his ability to navigate complex environments and mobilize diverse stakeholders.


Marie-Christine Morin, ON, Executive Director, Fédération culturelle canadienne-française (FCCF)

For nearly 25 years, Marie-Christine Morin has dedicated herself to managing organizations, as well as developing public policies and projects that foster innovation and progress. She joined the Fédération culturelle canadienne-française (FCCF) as Executive Director in April 2018. The FCCF defends and promotes the place of arts and culture in the Canadian francophone space. Previously, Ms. Morin held a number of public policy and program management positions in various federal departments. Marie-Christine Morin sits on various boards of directors, including those of the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne du Canada (FCFA) and the Coalition for the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (CDEC). She is a member of several advisory committees, including one that brings together institutions such as Canadian Heritage, the Canada Council for the Arts, Telefilm Canada, the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), the National Arts Centre (NAC) and the CBC.


Nandini Mulliah, ON, CFO, Aon Canada

Nandini Mulliah is a seasoned executive with over 18 years’ experience in the business world. Recognized as a trusted leader and advisor, she applies a collaborative approach to problem solving and risk management to ensure the growth and development of new businesses. Assisting various stakeholders in the private and public financial sectors, she focuses on financial planning and analysis to support strategic decisions in complex and dynamic environments. Ms. Mulliah has also distinguished herself by driving organizational improvements that enable greater accountability, viability, and transparency, making the financial sector a strategic pillar for creating and preserving value, while optimizing the efficiency of human resources, operations and information technology, and laying the foundations for stable long-term growth.


Geneviève Pelletier, Independent artist

Geneviève Pelletier is a Métis creator and director from the Red River in Winnipeg, located on the ancestral territory of Treaty No. 1. From 2012 to 2025, she brought her passionate and visionary leadership to the artistic and general direction of Théâtre Cercle Molière, the oldest French-language theatre company in Canada. During her tenure, the theatre strengthened its commitment to cultural diversity, emphasized ecology, renewed its audiences, and championed theatrical new works rooted in the territory. She continues to contribute to the artistic landscape through her creative practice and engagement with the Métis and francophone communities.


Patti Pon, President and CEO, Calgary Arts Development

Patti Pon is President and CEO of Calgary Arts Development, where she has led major organizational growth since 2013. She has held senior roles with Arts Commons and Alberta Theatre Projects and has served on boards including The Calgary Foundation, the Calgary Stampede, and CKUA Radio Network. Patti has been recognized with the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medals and the Harry and Martha Cohen Award. 


Mazen Shakeel, FCIA, FSA, ON, Senior Director, Investment Consulting, ECKLER

Mazen Shakeel is a partner and head of professional services for the TELUS Health investment firm in Canada. He has nearly 35 years’ experience in the pension and investment consulting industry. His extensive experience as a pension actuary gives him a unique understanding of the investment issues facing plan sponsors. Mr. Shakeel is an active participant in industry promotion and is a frequent speaker at national and regional industry conferences. He is a past member of the ACPM National Policy Committee, the CIA Pension Practice Board and the Pension Investment Association of Canada, and he has participated in CAPSA’s industry task forces. He is currently a member of IFEBP’s Canadian Corporate Committee.

Indigenous Advisory Circle

The Indigenous Advisory Circle was formed at the National Theatre School (NTS) in the spring of 2021. It is composed of a diverse group of established Indigenous artists and NTS alumni. Their goal is to influence and strengthen the School’s pedagogy by contributing an Indigenous worldview, and to create opportunities for the French and English sections to come together through Indigenous artistic practice.
