Sofia Blondin graduated with a degree in Acting from the National Theatre School of Canada. After completing her training in 2016, she has taken part in numerous theatre productions, including The Father at Théâtre du Nouveau Monde, Docteure at Duceppe, Clandestines at Centre du Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui, Vague chair at the Studio Hydro-Québec du Monument-National, and Les amoureux at Théâtre Denise-Pelletier.
On television, she recently made a notable appearance in the series Empathie, in which she plays the character Astryd Bien-Aimé. She can also be seen in the superhero series Bedaine, where she plays the villainous scientist Dr. Évelyne. She first became known to audiences through Les Armes, Fragments, and Xavier Dolan’s The Night Logan Woke Up. She has also appeared in Classé secret, Toute la vie, and District 31. Upcoming projects include Un an plus tard, a miniseries directed by Thomas Soto, as well as the second season of Empathie.
Passionate about directing and working with actors, Sofia co-directed Hilaire Saint-Laurent’s Agamemnon in the Ring, presented at Théâtre Aux Écuries in 2022 and touring ever since its premiere. In the summer of 2024, she directed Maxime Champagne’s play Fortissimo! at Théâtre La Roulotte. In spring 2027, she will direct and adapt for the stage the Haitian novel Le violon d’Adrien, to be presented at Théâtre de Quat’Sous.
Very active in the voice-dubbing industry, Sofia lends her voice to numerous actresses.
