Geneviève L. Blais - Teaching Artist, Set and Costume Design

Montreal-based director and playwright Geneviève L. Blais has been at the heart of À Corps perdus since 2003, serving as its artistic and general director. Over the years, she has created some twenty immersive and site-specific productions, transforming unconventional spaces into theatrical environments: a pond, an abandoned cinema, an underground parking garage, an industrial warehouse, a rooftop, and more.

Her recent work includes the creation of O Secours, presented at the Festival Casamance en scène in Senegal, as well as the direction of Le Futur at Usine C and Nostalgie 2175 at the Chapelle des Hospitalières. She also directed Intensément Bleu in the swimming pool of the Hôtel Bonaventure, as well as Rx Contes-Gouttes, a series of poetic consultations presented on tour for two years.

She is currently developing Sorties de route, an immersive XR road trip created in collaboration with Couzins Films and supported by the Odyssées ACCR grant and La Chartreuse – Centre national des écritures du spectacle.

She is also developing Le Rivage, an immersive and interactive creation for young audiences.
