Margot Lacoste - Teaching Artist, Set and Costume Design
Margot Lacoste began her professional career as an architect. She then studied scenography at the National Theatre School of Canada, graduating in 2021. Since then, she has collaborated with the inclusive dance company Maï(g)wenn et les Orteils (Dans mes yeux, Les dauphins et les licornes) and with the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, where she has worked with choreographers Virginie Brunelle, Alan Lake, Helen Simard, and Alanna Kraaijeveld.
In theatre, she has designed the costumes for Scriptarium 2022 (Théâtre Le Clou!), the sets and costumes for Nu.e·s (Les Rugissants), and the sets and costumes for Vous êtes animal, co-designed with Ange Bledja (Théâtre Petit à Petit). She has also designed the set for Une petite fête, cabaret de la dissidence (Le Carrousel), as well as those for Papeça (Transuge) and Nos Cassandre (Théâtre des Fonds de Tiroirs).
