House Manager

The House Manager at the Monument-National is responsible for the smooth running of performances, coordination with clients and teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and service standards. Responsibilities

Team management

  • Supervise front-of-house, bar, door, and other staff members;
  • Lead pre-show briefings and ensure a positive work environment;
  • Provide caring and constructive guidance throughout the evening;
  • Take part in training new employees.


Event coordination

  • Act as the link between the Front of House Coordinator and the front-of-house team;
  • Coordinate with the Front of House Coordinator to meet client needs;
  • Follow preparation and event execution guidelines;
  • Manage the setup and takedown of spaces and front-of-house equipment;
  • Establish and implement door opening, audience entry, and exit schedules;
  • Prepare the internal team plan for each performance or event (placements, breaks, schedules);
  • Manage unforeseen situations proactively;
  • Allocate human resources according to the needs of the evening.

Ideal Profile

  • Relevant experience in team management or event coordination;
  • Natural leadership and calm under pressure;
  • Strong organizational skills, rigour, and autonomy;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the public;
  • Good physical condition;
  • Fluency in French and English;
  • Availability in the evenings and on weekends.
