Thomas Morgan Jones - Executive Artistic Director of the English Section and Director of the Directing Program

For 25 years, Thomas’ work as a director, playwright, dramaturg, movement coach, educator and artistic director has been seen nationally and internationally. A former artistic director of Prairie Theatre Exchange and Theatre New Brunswick, he has programmed over 40 world premieres, and has been a dramaturg on over 50 new plays.
Recent directing credits include Wendy and Peter Pan by Ella Hickson and his adaptation of A Wrinkle In Time by Madeleine L’Engle at The Stratford Festival (where he received the Jack Hutt Humanitarian Award in 2023); the world premieres of Feast by Guillermo Verdecchia, The War Being Waged by Darla Contois, and Post-Democracy by Hannah Moscovitch at PTE; and in 2025 his play A Killing At La Cucina was co-produced by PTE and Vertigo Theatre. In the fall of 2025, his newest play written with Keith Barker, The Veil, will be produced by Thought For Food Productions in Association with Guild Festival Theatre and Crow’s Theatre in Toronto.
Thomas holds a BA from the University of Guelph and an MA from the University of Toronto and has trained extensively internationally with SITI Company and The Suzuki Company of Toga. He is now a SITI Company Alumni Network Ambassador.
