Marie Trotter - Teaching-artist, Acting program
 
                                                            Marie Trotter is a PhD Candidate in the Department of English at McGill University, studying metatheatre in the plays of Shakespeare and how this dramatic feature engages audience reception in both contemporary and historical productions. Her writing is published in the journals Theatre Research in Canada, Early Theatre, and Literature and Theology, as well as the magazines Plough Quarterly, Broadview, and Ekstasis. Previous work in theatre includes dramaturgy and academic research for Repercussion Theatre (Montreal) and producing and stage management for the Festival of Live Digital Art (Queen’s University, Kingston) and the Centre for Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies (University of Toronto). She has previously taught English literature and theatre at Queen’s University and McGill University.
