From October 20 to 31, 2025,  NTS had the honour of welcoming Sir Gregory Doran as a guest teaching artist, offering students a rare opportunity to learn from one of the most respected directors of his generation.

Described by The Sunday Times as “one of the great Shakespearians of his generation,” Sir Gregory Doran brought his wealth of experience and deep understanding of classical theatre to NTS. Over the course of two weeks, students from across all programs participated in a series of workshops led by the renowned director.

These sessions provided a unique space for exploration, where students engaged directly with Shakespearean text, performance techniques, and the interpretive process. Through his guidance, they were invited to deepen their craft, challenge their perspectives, and refine their artistic voice.

Sir Gregory Doran’s visit stands as a memorable moment in the School’s academic year – a testament to NTS’s commitment to connecting its students with leading figures from the international theatre community, and to fostering an environment of excellence, curiosity, and artistic exchange.
