About the Show

"it felt empty when the heart went at first but it is alright now" by Lucy Kirkwood is more than a play about sex trafficking. With poetry, beauty, pathos and even humour, we see a woman fight for survival in the face of extreme abuse. Piecing together fragmented memories, Dijana seeks to make sense of her pain in order to find a way towards the future.
