Yellow rabbit

As we strove to make our storytelling of the Chinese immigrant experience authentic, we gathered a cast and creative team almost entirely comprised of East Asian artists to help shape the story. With a story that illuminates the inequities within our own community, we made the conscious choice to include artists of colour and minority voices both onstage and offstage. With the financial support that we received, we were able to deliver the highest overall production value ever as a collective, resulting in higher quality archival footage and production stills for future touring or grant writing. Yellow Rabbit successfully played to sold-out audiences and successfully brought a younger and more diverse audience into a theatre space that predominantly produces work by white colonial playwrights
