Krista Jackson

Krista Jackson (She/Her/Elle) is serving in her third season as Artistic & Executive Director at Imago Theatre in Montreal. She brings a national body of work leading and directing new plays to Imago’s feminist values and creative spaces and just directed Imago’s world premiere of The Retreat by Gabrielle Chapdelaine, Translated by David Gagnon Walker.

Krista directed the world premiere of Vern Thiessen and Yvette Nolan’s stage adaptation of Margaret Laurence’s The Diviners at The Stratford Festival.

In the 2022/23 season, Krista directed and dramaturged world premieres of Sophia Fabilli’s Liars at a Funeral (Blyth Festival); Frances Koncan’s Space Girl (Prairie Theatre Exchange), Bonnie Green’s Dock Spider (Magnus Theatre), Ori Black’s Summer of Semitism (Winnipeg Jewish Theatre) and Daniel Macdonald’s Iago Speaks (Shakespeare by the Saskatchewan).

Krista has served as Apprentice Artistic Director at The Grand Theatre, Associate Artistic Director/Director of New Play Development at Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre and is founding artistic director of zone41 theatre in Winnipeg.
