Since its founding in 1960, the National Theatre School of Canada has been training Canada’s next generation of artists through the support of donors and partners who are convinced that the performing arts play an important role in society.

WHY GIVE?

As a world leader in theatre education, NTS shares its expertise and resources with a large and diverse community of Canadians:

  • Provides incomparable training in French and English to actors, directors, playwrights, designers and production specialists to prepare them to work in professional theatre;
  • Delivers a broad range of community programs in order to make theatre more accessible to all Canadians.

The School needs your help to achieve its mission and to offer a constantly evolving program that reflects Canadian theatre.

THE IMPACT OF YOUR GIFT

Your gifts are used to support our mission while respecting NTS values. More concretely, each year, your gifts support:

  • The exceptional training of 150 artists;
  • The excellence of our 9 specialized programs;
  • Access to over 300 experienced teachers and mentors;
  • The showing of 20 theatrical productions;
  • Theatre accessibility through community projects;
  • DramaFest and the Nouvelles écritures/New Words Festival;
  • 4 artistic residencies;
  • Inclusion and reconciliation initiatives developed and implemented by the Indigenous Advisory Circle;
  • Inspiring, creative spaces at our two campuses.

MONTHLY GIFT

By making a monthly gift, you are supporting the mission of NTS in a sustainable way and ensuring the financial stability of the organization year after year.

  • You have access to a flexible giving plan that can be changed over time;
  • You will receive an annual tax receipt for the total amount of your gift;
  • You will be part of the donor recognition program.

ONE-TIME GIFT

With a one-time gift, you are supporting the mission of NTS and have a direct impact on future artists!

  • You will receive a tax receipt for 100% of the value of the gift for any contribution of $20 or more;
  • You will be part of the donor recognition program.
