Annual Campaign

The National Theatre School of Canada is a school for the arts.

The National Theatre School (NTS) is an art school open to all. Since 1960, it has trained artists, in English and French, in all of theatre’s trades and professions.

NTS is committed to solidifying community and breaking down the walls that separate us. This is why it is now offering workshops for anyone aged 15 to 115 who wishes to discover the power of theatre as a instrument of social as well as personal growth.

The School also presents an annual theatre festival for secondary school students, in which over 7500 students participated in 2018.

Public Workshops

The Public Workshops are an opportunity to focus on the fundamental and advanced skills of acting, playwriting and technical production (sound, lighting, video, stage management). Our courses are for everyone; their goal is to share the knowledge and resources of the National Theatre School with anyone who shows an interest in the performing arts.

Public Workshops are designed to give you transferable skills that you can apply to your future activities, artistic or otherwise.

Student shows

The public performances of the graduating class represent the culmination of years of training. Everything seen on stage and all that goes on behind the scenes is created by our students under the guidance of professional guest artists.
