Chloé Bertrand-Giroux - Teaching Artist, Set & Costume Design

Chloé Giroux Bertrand has been weathering and adding a vintage look to costumes for the theatre, television and cinema for over 15 years. The combination of her studies in visual arts and theatre costumes at Concordia University along with a keen interest in painting and textiles made her perfectly suited to this profession. On the big screen, she has taken part in American productions such as 300, X-Men, Warm Bodies, Mirror Mirror and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, as well as Quebec films like Pieds nus dans l’aube and La petite fille qui aimait trop les allumettes. On television, she created all the right vintage looks for Les Pays d’en haut (seasons 1–3), 19-2, Les Invincibles and Unité 9, among other shows. Her theatre experience includes collaborations with various Quebec designers, including Elen Ewing, with whom she recently worked on the authentic costume look for Les Amoureux and Zoé at Théâtre Denise-Pelletier and Knock at TNM. She has been leading training sessions on costume weathering at the National Theatre School for several years already.
