The Monument-National is seeking a dynamic, organized, and versatile individual to support front-of-house coordination during public events. As the Assistant Manager of Front of House and Guest Experience, you will work closely with the Front of House Manager to ensure the smooth running of activities, supervise supervisors and the front-of-house team (usher.s, door attendant.s, and bar and coat check attendant.s), and help provide a warm, seamless, and safe experience for the public and venue renters.
Responsibilities
- Assist the person responsible for front of house in preparing for performances: set up spaces, assign tasks, and prepare front-of-house and signage materials
- Prepare team schedules, write reports and summary sheets before and after events
- Support on-site coordination during events: flow, circulation, and venue logistics
- Be a resource person for the front-of-house team and intervene in case of unforeseen situations or questions from clients or the public
- Participate in the training and supervision of new recruits
- Help maintain a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment for everyone
- Ensure that spaces are restored after events (venues, coat check, equipment, lost and found, etc.)
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the guest experience and team performance
Ideal Profile
- Experience in event production, front-of-house work, customer service, or team coordination
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong listening abilities, and diplomacy
- Calm leadership, initiative, autonomy
- Rigour, punctuality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
- Good physical condition
- Availability in the evenings and on weekends
- Proficiency in French and English
- Adequate computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, etc.
