Hannah Fisher - Teaching Artist, Set & Costume Design

Hannah Fisher is a Prairie storyteller, creator and designer whose work spans diverse performance mediums such as theatre, film, dance, circus and drag. Heavily influenced by nature memoir writing and the idea of smallness, Hannah’s work resonates with a tone of residual grit and playful imperfection. Her approach to story offers places where reality and surrealism exist in a unified perspective. Among color, texture, movement and form, process is a large part of her creative identity, which explores the sensibilities of what it means to create visual storytelling. Hannah earned a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design (2016) and graduated the Costume and Design program at the National Theatre School of Canada (2019). She now works as a freelance artist in both English and French, including on her own creation piece
