The test audience will be in St. John’s but I would also love to bring the workshop to different parts of the island where there are established and growing theatre communities such as Gander and Corner Brook.

Specifically, I am interested in offering this training workshop to artists who haven’t had access to education in theatre, whether because of financial, geographical, or cultural barriers. I will offer the workshop as many times as there is interest in taking it (always at no cost to the participants).

This workshop will be targeted towards theatre artists at any stage of their career who are interested in learning a different approach to assistant directing. It will be held in an accessible rehearsal studio so there will be no physical barrier to enrolling in the workshop.

— BIOGRAPHY

Allison Kelly (Directing, 2024) is a director and actor from Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador.
