Between managing production schedules and negotiating contracts, it\u2019s easy to feel overwhelmed. It is with this in mind that the <strong>APASQ (Association des professionnels des Arts de la sc\u00e8ne)<\/strong> is offering a specialized training program on <strong>May 25 and 26, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you are a set designer, lighting designer, costume designer, or sound designer, this two-day training is designed to provide you with practical tools to sustain your professional practice in Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objective of this program is to transform your approach to work so that your talent is supported by a solid business structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Workshop schedule:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Monday, May 25: <em>Career management and negotiation<\/em> \u2013 In person in Montr\u00e9al<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first day, led by <strong>Jonathan Beaudoin<\/strong>, will take place in person in Montr\u00e9al from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This session is essential for anyone who wants to regain control over their professional trajectory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Define your goals:<\/strong> Learn to establish a short-, medium-, and long-term vision. A sustainable career is not built on reaction, but on thoughtful action.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Assess workload:<\/strong> Knowing how to read between the lines of a contract offer is essential. Does the fee truly reflect the time required for creation and production?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Master negotiation:<\/strong> The training offers practical exercises to develop negotiation skills\u2014an essential asset to assert your rights and your creative needs with producers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuesday, May 26: <em>Time management tools and task tracking<\/em> \u2013 Online<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following day, the training shifts to a virtual format with <strong>Adam Provencher<\/strong>. Two time slots are available (9:30 to 11:00 a.m. OR 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.) to accommodate the often busy schedules of performing arts professionals. In a world where projects overlap, time management is your best ally against professional burnout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Work methodology:<\/strong> Learn how to effectively use a digital tool provided during the training to organize your days.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Task tracking:<\/strong> Learn to track your hours and continuously evaluate the real workload of your projects. This is an essential tool for adjusting your rates and future negotiations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Registration and fees: A flexible option<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>APASQ offers an \u201c\u00e0 la carte\u201d registration to meet everyone\u2019s needs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Option A ($60):<\/strong> The full package including the in-person negotiation workshop and the online time management workshop.
