Job description

Under the supervision of the director of operations, and in collaboration with the artistic engagement department, the chosen candidate will offer support to students. He or she will:

  • Validate and monitor the student selection process;
  • Organize auditions;
  • Send acceptance letters and educational contracts;
  • Take care of registration and opening student files;
  • Follow up as necessary to get various documents, particularly for foreign students;
  • Follow up on tuition payments and bursaries;
  • Help students with their requests for financial aid;
  • Participate in preparing necessary tax documents;
  • Update student files;
  • Prepare various statistics;
  • Archive files of former students;
  • Participate on various committees (SST, francisation, ADÉSAM, etc.);
  • Follow up on support services for students (physio, medical appointments, emergency financial aid, etc.);
  • Other related tasks may be added to this description.

Candidate's profile

You have…

  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent relationship skills and the ability to build trust;
  • A strong sense of customer service, good judgement, diplomacy, a contagious sense of humour, discretion, good stress management, resourcefulness, dynamism, and attention to detail;
  • Training and professional experience leading to a work style that is both humane and rational;
  • Perfect command of French and English, both written and oral;
  • Strong knowledge of Office Suite (Office 365 and Excel) and other database software programs.

NTS, known for its intense and rigorous professional training programs, opens its doors to all by offering ongoing training, artistic residencies, and public workshops. It designs and launches numerous programs to support its existing training programs and to connect thousands of artists with audiences of all ages from coast to coast. By 2020, the School will reach 20,000 theatre lovers each year.

In this context, we are searching for a person to be responsible for student services for our professional programs, residencies, and public workshops. This person will be involved in the organization and management of the many applications received, as well as follow-up and logistical and administrative planning for student activities.
