During the Journées de la culture

24-HOUR CREATION

On the evening of Saturday, October 1, visitors celebrated the Journées de la culture with a visit to the Monument-National campus. National Theatre School students—including students from the Playwriting, Production Design and Technical Arts, Set and Costume Design, Directing, Acting and Residencies programs, in both French and English—took up the colossal challenge of a 24-hour collaborative creation. This event, entitled Monumental Occupation featured scenes and events staged throughout the building. The artists had 24 hours to create intimate site-specific works inspired by randomly selected themes. 24 hours of creation, racing against the clock, by young creators who offered us a window onto their curiosity, art and the world of tomorrow.
