About the Show
The Dragonfly of Chicoutimi follows Gacon Talbot who wrestles with being a part of a community in which he cannot fully communicate with. As an anglophone in Quebec, Angelica Schwartz identifies her longing to belong in this wildly francophone province with that of the main character. Larry Tremblay’s play can be interpreted as an allegory for Quebec being an outsider within Canada. For the director, however, it speaks to our shared humanity, separated by walls.
