Reporting to the Artistic Director of the English Section of NTS, the Coordinator and Company Manager - English Section will be responsible for coordinating and executing all administrative tasks pertaining to the English Section’s professional training programs. This resourceful, organized and creative individual will be the first administrative contact for the Section. They will work closely with the Program Directors, who run the professional training programs, as well as the Coordinator of the Acting Program and the English Section’s associate artists and full-time teaching artists. The successful applicant will also work closely with other departments and programs within the school, including the Student Services Office, the Department of External Relations and NTS’s administrative team, and maintain a close relationship with the Coordinator of the French Section to ensure consistency in services offered and procedures and methods adopted...

Job Description

Main tasks

· Support Program Directors in the preparation and completion of all teaching artist contracts;
· Schedule Section-wide or School-wide pedagogical events or tasks in concert with the Program Directors and NTS's administrative team;
· Coordinate the welcoming of guest teaching artists and facilitate their access to resources such as teaching equipment, building access cards, meeting rooms and studio space;
· Provide logistical and administrative support to visiting teachers throughout their stay at the NTS;
· Support the Manager of Training and Administrative Support in tracking and communicating details related to the travel and accommodation of visiting faculty;
· Provide Program Directors and full-time teaching artists with logistical and administrative support to ensure the delivery of their programs and classes;
· Support Program Directors in their end-of-term duties, assisting in the coordination of student evaluations and student-teacher meetings;
· Liaise with the Student Services Office during the admissions process to facilitate each program’s selection process and clear communication between the school and applicants;
· Coordinate activities during the auditions process;
· Coordinate Program or Section events and activities such as field trips, film lab projects and cultural outings;
· Work closely with the Coordinator of the French Section to ensure collaborative coordination of the two sections and harmony of services and procedures;
· Coordinate national and international academic and professional exchanges with other theatre schools and professional theatres;
· Participate, in close collaboration with the Department of External Relations, in the development of communications related to training programs and other training activities;
· Revise and correct marketing/communication texts for the English Section;
· Provide up-to-date information for the website and other promotional tools to the Department of External Relations;

Profile

· University degree or college diploma, ideally in a field related to administration or communications or professional theatre equivalent
· Minimum of three years' experience in a comparable position;
· Excellent command of English with superior oral and written skills, with functional French abilities;
· Excellent work organization and priority management skills;
· Attention to detail, thoroughness, discretion, and autonomy;
· Collaborative, empathetic, flexible, and resilient personality;
· Understanding of and interest in the theatre training sector and the well-being of the next generation of artists.

This position is permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and requires occasional after-hour and weekend attendance...
